The MV Cabo Star is back in operation, following one month out of service.
The Port Authority on Monday advised all truckers and other users of the M.V. Cabo Star that repair works to the vessel had been completed.
The vessel was subsequently inspected and certified as safe to operate.
The MV Cabo Star sailed from the Port of Port of Spain at 2PM today, Tuesday, with the return sailing to depart depart Scarborough at 11PM.
On August 23rd, a fire broke out in one of the Cabo Star’s engine rooms as it was en route to Port of Spain. Over 100 people on board were stranded for 18 hours at sea.
With the MV Cabo Star under repairs, the MV Emprendedora arrived at the Port of Port of Spain from Venezuela on September 9th to provide relief to truckers using the sea-bridge.
