New Regional Hospitality School By 2022

Thousands of Caribbean students will soon have access to a first class education in hospitality and tourism.

The decision to build the university was announced in Jamaica earlier this month.

On Monday, during a virtual ceremony for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts International, Adam Stewart, described the purpose of the new university.

Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor of the University of the West Indies, Sir Hilary Beckles, said the university will prepare the next generation to access tertiary degrees in the industry.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed with Sandals, the UWI, and the Florida International University at the AC Hotel by Marriott in Kingston, Jamaica.
