New US Ambassador To T&T Chosen

One person has been nominated by United States President, Joe Biden to be appointed as the US Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago.

Candace Bond is President Biden’s nominee.

A statement on the US Government website indicates
“Ms. Bond, nominee for Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of TT.”

Chargé de Affairs Shante Moore has been the highest ranked person at the US Embassy in Port of Spain for the last few months after Ambassador Joseph Mondello left office on January 13, 2021

A brief bio on the website notes Ms. Bond is currently president and CEO of AESA Inc, a Los Angeles-based company offering business advisory services in real estate and community development with an emphasis on environmental stability, governance, education, and health equity.

It adds she has earned her BA from Harvard University and her MBA from Harvard University Business School.
