Several youth development programmes are expected to be rolled out in Tobago in the near future.
Minister of Youth Development and National Service, Foster Cummings, revealed on Wednesday that his Ministry had discussions with officials from the Tobago House of Assembly in early April with an expectation to move forward with the programmes soon.
He said the ‘Shade House’ Project, a MiLAT programme, and the re-establishment of a Youth Development and Apprenticeship Centre are all on the cards.
Minister Cummings maintained that such programmes are geared towards youth development and leading them away from a life of crime. He is positive Tobago will benefit significantly.
