Trinidad and Tobago has lost its first baby to COVID-19. The baby is a female newborn.
According to the latest update from the Ministry of Health, among the other fatalities are 10 elderly males, five elderly females, two middle aged males, one middle aged female and one newborn female. The deaths take this country’s COVID-19 death toll to 2,281.
The Ministry of Health said 801 cases of the virus have also been confirmed. Active cases of the virus are now at 12,707.
The Ministry said 100 people have been discharged from public health facilities while 509 people remain at hospital and are being treated for the virus.
