The feasibility of a small scale Liquefied Natural Gas plant is being explored by the National Gas Company.
In its 2023 Sustainability Report, the company indicates it views a scaled down model of the Liquefied Natural Gas plant as a solution to help advance the energy transition in the region.
The report notes many Caribbean countries still use fuel oil and diesel to meet their electricity, industry, and transport needs.
NGC says it has also incorporated its Green Agenda into its balanced scorecard for the first time.
This is the company’s fifth Sustainability Report.
