Nicholas Paul was second fastest in qualifying for the Men’s 1 kilometre time trial at the UCI Nation’s Cup in Cali, Colombia today.
Paul was just .408 seconds slower than the Germany’s Maximilian Dornbach who qualified first in 59.185 seconds.
Paul will be one of eight riders to contest the kilo time trial final which is scheduled for five minutes past seven.
Last time out in Cali, Paul won a golden hat-trick with victories in the kilo, sprint and keirin.
His three gold and one more in the Elimination from Akil Campbell was this country’s best performance at the nation’s cup.
Campbell will also compete this evening in the Men’s Elimination race.
