Nicholas Paul pedalled his way into tomorrow’s Semi Finals of the men’s Sprint at the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.
Paul and teammate Kwesi Brown qualified to the Heats but Browne failed to advance beyond the Repechage.
Paul participated in Heat 1 of the Round of 16 and got past Juan Carlos Ruiz of Mexico.
In the Quarter Final, he came up against Cristian Ortega and blew pass the Colombian in Races 1 and 2 of Heat 1 to book his place in Thursday morning’s Semis.
In Field Hockey, the T&T Men lost their opening Group ‘B’ match to the United States 6-1. They will hope to rebound from that disappointment on Friday when they face Brazil from 8:30am but before that, the Women will be in action on Thursday against the United States from 10:30am.
