Commonwealth Gold Medallists Nicholas Paul and Jereem Richards are both appreciative of the medal bonuses for their accomplishments in Birmingham earlier this year.
Paul, who won Gold in the Keirin, Silver in the Men’s Sprint, and Bronze in the 1km Time Trial received US$6,000 in bonuses, and was gracious in expressing his thanks.
Richards who won Gold in the Men’s 200 and was part of the 4×400 Gold Medal team, received US$4,250 for his accomplishments. He believes the medal bonuses will go a long way for the athletes while serving as a form of motivation for them.
