Nine Year Old Boy Injured During Pennywise Heist

A nine year old boy is at this time receiving care at hospital after he was injured during the police pursuit and shoot out with the perpetrators of the robbery at the La Romaine Pennywise Plaza on Monday evening.

On Tuesday, Senior Superintendent Richard Smith of the Southern Division confirmed that the boy, who was in the company of his mother, sustained injuries in the vicinity of his right eye. The nine year old’s injuries are said to be non life threatening, and his eyesight will not be affected.

While four suspects were fatally injured during the police pursuit on Monday, two more suspects were eventually caught in the Pond Street area by officers of the Southern Division on Tuesday.

The Senior Superintendent noted that the suspects are well known to officers of the TTPS.
