No Crowds At Vaccination Sites

With today being the original last day for public servants to be vaccinated against COVID-19 before Government Quasi Safe Zones come into effect, one would expect there would be a last minute rush.

However when TTT News visited some of the vaccination sites, the opposite is what we found.

In Port of Spain, a slow trickle of persons were seen at the Paddock, Queen’s Park Savannah. Most were camera shy and declined to speak to media on their circumstance.

At the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts, the scene was similar with a few persons opting to talk to us off camera. Some were public servants taking the last opportunity to get the jab to ensure that they stay within the recommendations of the Government. A few were there to get their second dose of vaccine and were happy to tell us that the new vaccine policy does not affect them.
