Without health care workers the country’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic would collapse.
This is a point Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh has been making throughout the pandemic. He says he continues to be concerned about the vaccine rates among nurses.
Minister Deyalsingh says no effort is being spared to encourage health workers to get vaccinated. The Health Minister notes 95% to 98% of doctors have been fully vaccinated.
He adds 80% of nurses at the South West RHA are fully vaccinated with more than 70% at the Eastern RHA fully vaccinated.
