Two more nominees have been confirmed by the Office of the President, for appointment to the Police Service Commission.
A statement from President’s House on Wednesday said after consulting with Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley, President Paula-Mae Weekes issued a notification in respect of Head of Wealth Management of Firstline Securities Limited, Maxine King, and Academic Head of the Caribbean Institute for Security and Public Safety, Ian Kevin Ramdhanie, as nominees for appointment to the PSC.
Last week, notifications were delivered to the Clerk of the House of Representatives indicating that retired Justice of Appeal Judith Jones and Marlene Attong were also nominated for appointment.

After consulting with Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Keith Rowley and Leader of the Opposition, the Honourable Kamla Persad Bissessar, by letter dated and delivered on Thursday October 14, 2021, and having received a response from the Prime Minister, Her Excellency Paula-Mae Weekes O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, has today Wednesday October 20, 2021, issued a notification in respect of Ms. Maxine King, Head of Wealth Management, Firstline Securities Limited, as a nominee for appointment to the Police Service Commission.
Similarly, after consulting with Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Keith Rowley and Leader of the Opposition, the Honourable Kamla Persad Bissessar by letter dated and delivered on Tuesday October 12, 2021, and having received a response from the Prime Minister, Her Excellency Paula-Mae Weekes O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, on Friday October 15, 2021, issued a notification in respect of Mr. Ian Kevin Ramdhanie, Academic Head of the Caribbean Institute for Security and Public Safety as a nominee for appointment to the Police Service Commission.
