Heritage Petroleum Company Limited is estimating that clean-up operations in Vessigny will take another three days.
On Wednesday, the Petroleum Company responded to an oil spill in the Vessigny area and confirmed that the source of the leak had been identified and clamped.
The company is maintaining contact with impacted residents and other stakeholders, keeping them informed and receiving feedback on any incident related concerns.
Heritage is also apologising for statements made indicating that Trinity Brighton Operations was engaged in pumping activities at the time of the leak.
The company says air quality tests in the affected area continue to read within normal levels and the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, the Environmental Management Authority (EMA), and other relevant regulatory bodies are being updated.
