Pace Reigns On Day 2 In Centurion

Fast bowlers have dominated the First Test thus far between South Africa and the West Indies being played at the Supersport Park in Centurion.

South Africa were dismissed for 342 during the first session of Day Two, with Alzarri Joseph grabbing career best figures of 5 for 81.

When the Windies took to the crease, they were unable to withstand the pace of Anrich Nortje who bagged five for 36. They could only manage 212 with Raymon Reifer getting to a top score of 62. During the Windies’ first innings, Jason Holder became the second West Indian to get to 150 wickets and 2,500 Test runs.

At the close of Day Two, the hosts are slightly ahead batting on 49 for 4, with an overall lead of 179 runs.
