Paediatric COVID-19 Vaccines Arrive

The Pfizer paediatric COVID-19 vaccines for children 5-11 years old have arrived in Trinidad.

The cargo arrived via Amerijet at 6:44am on Monday. Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, and Spain’s Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, Fernando Nogales, were on hand to receive the shipment.

The Embassy of Spain says Spain is very proud to have been able to make this donation of 43,200 paediatric vaccines to the people of T&T. This donation makes Trinidad and Tobago the first country in the region to receive paediatric vaccines.

The Ministry of Health says the shipment marks the 26th arrival of COVID-19 vaccines into this country.
