Pan Community Loses Icon

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts joins with the pan and culture fraternity in mourning the loss of Patrick Arnold. Mr. Arnold was a former President of Pan Trinbago and Chairman of the National Carnival Commission. He was 84.

A release from the Ministry called Mr. Arnold a great leader, visionary, cultural ambassador, and local icon.

In expressing condolences, the Ministry recognised Mr. Arnold’s significant impact on the Steelpan community and the cultural fabric of this country. It continued that Mr. Arnold’s legacy will continue to inspire future musicians and cultural practitioners.

In giving tribute, a release from Pan Trinbago thanked Mr. Arnold for his significant contribution to our culture locally and internationally.

Patrick Arnold was a stalwart and contributor to the Tobago steelband community. He was the founder and manager of the Our Boys Steel Orchestra.
