Pharmacy Board Welcomes Move To Preserve The Number Of People Who Can Administer COVID-19 Vaccine

Preserving the number of people who can administer the COVID-19 jab is the next project for Attorney General Faris Al-Rawi, now that the Emergency Powers Regulations are coming to an end.

The AG says he will begin work on safeguarding the categories of people who can administer the COVID-19 jab. President of the Pharmacy Board, Andrew Rahaman, is delighted by this move.

Mr. Rahaman says that their newly-acquired skill will not only be relevant for administering the Covid vaccine.

The Attorney General explained that the cadre of people able to administer vaccines had widened and the amended parent legislation will allow these categories of professionals to continue to have the authority to administer the vaccine.
