Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley is chairing a meeting with the National Security Council and the Divisional Heads of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service at the Diplomatic Centre, St. Ann’s.
The Prime Minister chairs the National Security Council.
The meeting, also attended by Minister of National Security Fitzgerald Hinds, comes on the heels of the murder toll for 2022 crossing 500. Ministers Stuart Young, Colm Imbert, and Marvin Gonzales are also in attendance.
Two murders between Saturday and Sunday night pushed the murder toll to 508 for the year so far, rounding off a weekend plagued with homicides. And a man identified as Noel Fermin of Mon Repos Road, Morvant was shot and killed on Saturday.
