The People’s National Movement has selected ten of their candidates who will be contesting seats in the Tobago House of Assembly elections come December 6th, 2021. The screening process began on Monday.
Familiar faces who contested seats in January and were successful have been chosen by the party’s committee again. The PNM’s Tobago Leader Tracy Davidson-Celestine will contest Signal Hill/ Patience Hill, Chief Secretary Ancil Dennis will contest Buccoo/Mt. Pleasant, Joel Jack Bagatelle/Bacolet, Clarence Jacob Bon-Accord/Crown Point, Marsyln Melville-Jack Scarborough/Mt. Grace, and Kelvon Morris will contest Darrel Spring/Whim.
Meanwhile, Learie Paul and Nadine Stewart-Phillips have been selected to contest the Plymouth/Black Rock and Roxborough/Argyle seats. Newer faces in the political arena, Charles Adams, will vie for the Goodwood/Mt. St. George seat, and Brian Thomas, Bethesda/Les Coteaux.
The PNM’s screening continues for Bethel/New Grange, Parlatuvier/L’Anse Fourmi/Speyside, Belle Garden/Goodwood, Mason Hall/Moriah, and Lambeau/Lowlands seats.
The Progressive Democratic Patriots has begun their screening process but is yet to make an announcement on their prospective candidates.
