An evening of elegance celebrating women on International Women’s Day brought together the members of the Women’s League of the People’s National Movement on Wednesday.
In their observation of the day, as well as the organisation and its current head, Member of Parliament for Arouca/Maloney, Camille Robinson Regis, the women enjoyed their time together.
Dr. Joanne Spence told us the League is a vehicle for the advancement of women on more than a political level.
Member of Parliament for D’Abadie/O’Meara, Lisa Morris-Julian, was warm in her address focusing on the woman who heads the League. She used her personal experience to make it clear what the organisation and its President have made possible.
A fashion show displaying the stylishness of the many women attending the PNM’s Women’s League special night was all part of the warmth participants experienced.
