The St. Joseph and Maracas/St. Joseph Police Youth Clubs are urging parents not to ‘drop the ball’ as the new school year begins.
Senior Mediator of the Community Conflict Resolution Centre and part of the St Joseph Police Youth Club, Jeneice De Coteau, reminded its members of the importance of parenting and discipline to ensure children do not fall astray.
Both Police Youth Clubs held a Back To School Distribution Drive to 70 of its members by donating school supplies, grocery items, and included a storybook corner to promote literacy.
WPC Sascha Williams-Goddard said this drive would go a long way to help its members prepare for the new academic year and also encouraged both parents and students to work towards their goal.
