Pollard Stays On As Mumbai Indians Batting Coach

Keiron Pollard has called time on his playing career with the Mumbai Indians but will remain in the team as batting coach.

In announcing his departure form Mumbai’s batting line-up, Pollard said he could not see himself playing for another team in India.

The five-time IPL and two-time Champions League winner will instead play with MI Emirates, owned by the same group, in the International League T20 in the UAE.

Pollard will leave the IPL as one of only five players to ply their trade with one franchise over at least 100 matches. The others on that list include RCB’s Virat Kohli, KKR’s Sunil Narine, and fellow Mumbai standouts Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga.
