Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo ORTT, President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, met with the leadership of the Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force and the Alzheimer’s Association of Trinidad and Tobago at the Office of the President today, Tuesday May 9th, 2023.
President Kangaloo, Patron of the Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force, was briefed by Lieutenant Colonel Reynold York, Acting Commandant, Major Geneieve Jones-Dos Santos, and Flight Lieutenant Bilal Milette on the current state of operations of the Force. Also discussed were upcoming opportunities for the President, as Patron, to engage with the Cadet Force.
Her Excellency then met with Mrs. Michele Clavery, President, Dr. Liane Conyette-Bowen, Vice President, and Ms. Esuyemi Ogunbanke, Public Relations Officer of the Alzheimer’s Association of Trinidad and Tobago. Here the discussion centred on the history and advocacy of this 20 year old organisation as well as its current emphasis on education and training to destigmatise Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
