Trinidad and Tobago is starting to see the results of the Prime Minister’s recent trip to India.
While there, he met with several business leaders and invited them to explore investment opportunities in Trinidad and Tobago.
As a result, Prime Minister Rowley received the Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power Limited, Naveen Jindal, at the Diplomatic Centre yesterday.
Jindal Steel and Power is one of India’s leading business houses, with a substantial presence in steel, mining, power, and infrastructure.
Talks were wide-ranging and also saw the Line Ministers for Agriculture, Digital Transformation, and Tourism present.
One topic of discussion included the potential of the Petrotrin Refinery.
Another delegation of Indian businessmen is expected to arrive in Trinidad next week.
