Today marks the one year passing of track and field legend Deon Lendore.
Lendore died in a vehicular accident in Texas at the age of 29. At the time, he was returning home from coaching at Texas Texas A&M University where he was a Volunteer Assistant Coach.
Lendore represented Trinidad and Tobago in the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympic Games, bringing home the Bronze Medal in the 4x400M Relay at the London 2012 Olympics.
He was also a World Indoor Bronze Medallist and many in the track and field fraternity considered him a mentor and friend, especially in the 400 Metres where many have followed in his footsteps and gone to make team TTO proud on the international stage.
