President of the Greater San Fernando Area Chamber of Commerce, Kiran Singh, believes one of the reasons for the increased vaccinations in the South area over the past few days is the physical reopening of schools on October 4th.
Mr. Singh says parents are readying their children for face-to-face learning, and shared additional reasons for the increased uptake in the district.
As it relates to the Safe Zones for fully vaccinated people announced by Government, Mr. Singh says discussions are ongoing with members of the Chamber.
He says at present, there is no mandatory vaccination policy or laws requiring compulsory vaccination.
Government recently announced from October 11th, only fully vaccinated people 12 and over will be allowed to visit cinemas, theatres, casinos, bars, restaurants and gyms.
