A 28 year old manager of a resort in Matura charged with possession of a 9mm pistol and possession of 11 rounds of 9mm ammunition has been granted bail.
Chervon Hernandez, of High School Road, Matura, who pleaded not guilty to the charges, was granted $400,000 bail with a surety and was ordered to report to his local police station twice per week.
According to police reports, at 1:20am on March 31st, police officers responded to a report of a dispute at a resort in the area. While investigating, officers observed a male suspect clutching his pants pocket area. Police became suspicious and carried out a search of the man which allegedly resulted in a pistol outfitted with a magazine and 11 rounds of 9mm ammunition.
