Sporting activities under the Safe Zone Return To Play Policy can happen from as early as today.
This from Minister of Sport and Community Development, Shamfa Cudjoe. Speaking on TTT’s NOW Morning Show, the Minister said initially, the plan was to have vaccinated athletes, administrators, and coaches but they have also taken the decision to allow spectators at the sporting events with some restrictions.
Indoor sporting events will be allowed 25% capacity and outdoor events 50%.
The Minister said the return of play is not for the community level in this phase, but for the National Governing bodies and the Sport serving bodies. She said these bodies will be required to write to the Ministry for the necessary permission.
