SRP Officer Dies In Road Traffic Accident

A Special Reserve Police (SRP) constable was killed in an early morning accident on the Churchill Roosevelt Highway in East Trinidad.

Reports are that Constable Kemron Purcell, of Samaroo Village in Arima, died after the SUV he was driving crashed into a light pole at the Mausica intersection.

The 33 year old who was last attached to the Maloney Police Station is said to have been driving East on the highway at just before 5am when he lost control of the vehicle.

Kemron Purcell also played defence for Police FC.
