Three students from the Borough of Arima were awarded Scholarship Grants by the Chinese Embassy on Wednesday.
Evangeline Farfan, a student of El Dorado East Secondary School, Kyle Leerah, a student of Arima Boys’ RC, and Sarai Joseph, who attends St Joseph Convent in Port of Spain, received the Grants to assist with their educational expenses.
Senator Laurel Lezama Lee-Sing spoke about the benefits of the partnership between the two countries.
She revealed that both States recently celebrated 48 years of diplomatic relations.
Chinese Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, His Excellency Fang Qiu, said he appreciates the partnership between both countries as he has always been awarded with hospitality and affection.
