The newly launched “Switch to Sunshine” initiative is aimed at empowering citizens to embrace renewable energy with ease and bringing the nation closer to our Sustainable Development Goal of affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all.
According to Sustainability Engineer at Unipet, Nalyssa Bruno, households and businesses can now access clean energy solutions through flexible financing.
“And from the time that you reach out to us, and you access our network, we will engage you, perform a site visit, etcetera, and then you’re seamlessly integrated into the financing option. Whether it’s solar PV solutions, or a solar water heater, or an electric vehicle charger, we want to make sure the infrastructure is able to receive that.”
Ms. Bruno explained that clean energy solutions are suitable for both business and personal use.
“Solar water heaters, however, anyone that has high water heating demands, so, laundromats, gyms, resorts, hotels, it’s customisable based on your needs. And residences, you have a home, and you heat water, that’s an electric relief off of your energy bill every month if you install a solar water heater.”
