Air quality levels dropped as thick, bellowing smoke descended on several areas in Port of Spain for the last several hours.
CEO of the Solid Waste Management Company Limited (SWMCOL), Kevin Thompson, confirmed that this was caused by several fires ignited across several areas of the Beetham landfill.
