Trinidad and Tobago Under-15 and Under 19 Boys’ squads secured bronze medals after going down in the semi-finals of the Caribbean Youth Table Tennis Championship over the weekend in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The Under-15 combination of Malik Gopaul, Sekel McIntosh and Ethan Ramcharan were beaten 3-0 by the Dominican Republic
Earlier in the morning session, T&T beat Grenada 3-1 in their second and final round-robin Group A match to end with a 1-1 record, behind unbeaten Puerto Rico
The host country defeated T&T’s Derron Douglas 11-5, 11-4, 11-9, Samuel Humphreys 11-4, 11-4, 11-6 and Ameer Mohamed 11-4, 11-3, 11-1 in the Under-19 semifinals.
