The Jamaica Tallawahs went top of the six-team Caribbean Premier League table with a four-wicket win over the Guyana Amazon Warriors at Warner Park today.
Sent in to bat, Amazon Warriors reached 142 for six in their 20 overs. Guyana Captain Shimron Hetmeyer led with 39 off 45, Romario Shepherd hit 36, and Shai Hope 25.
Mohammah Amir took 3 for 22 in his four overs and Migael Pretorius took 2 for 35.
In their reply, Tallawahs Captain Rovman Powell top-scored with an unbeaten 44. Opener Brandon King deputised with 32 as Jamaica reached their total with four balls to spare.
Gudakesh Motie had best figures of 2 for 10.
