The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service will be focusing on a “target hardening” approach to educate the public.
Target Hardening refers to deterring, delaying, or minimising the impact of an attack or burglary by strengthening overall security and reducing vulnerabilities.
With the escalation in home invasions, Police Commissioner Erla Christopher said the TTPS will be putting some emphasis on this to reduce their chances of being a target.
Senior Superintendent Richard Smith elaborated on the Eagle Eye project which involve the use of CCTV cameras in communities.
