THA Chief Secretary Farley Augustine, concerned by the upsurge in robberies in Tobago, called a meeting with representatives of all security agencies on Friday.
Speaking with the media, Mr. Augustine stressed every robbery in Tobago is a major concern.
Chief Secretary Augustine said in addition to the Police Service, Fire Service, Prison Service, and Coast Guard, representatives from Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) and the Port and Airports Authority were also invited. He added that though national security is not a function of the Tobago House of Assembly, they are making efforts to address the issue of crime on the island.
