Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly, Farley Augustine, has challenged his Deputy Chief Secretary, Watson Duke, to bring a Motion of No Confidence against him.
Mr. Augustine broke his silence on the feud between him and the Political Leader of the Progressive Democratic Patriots during an interview on the Morning Show on i95.5FM on Tuesday. He indicated that the next sitting of the Assembly Legislature is on September 22nd, and he’s giving Mr. Duke the privilege to bring a Motion of No Confidence before the House.
Last week Mr. Duke accused the THA of leaving 27 members of the Roxborough Folk Performers hungry and sleeping on the streets in New York. The claims were denied by Mr. Augustine, who was subsequently removed as Deputy Leader of the PDP.
The THA Chief Secretary said he’s all for democracy, but he’s puzzled by Mr. Duke’s public outcries.
