THA Minority Supports 2024 Budget

The Tobago House of Assembly’s Minority Council says Monday’s Budget Presentation is a positive step in the right direction, and is calling on the THA Administration to focus on what was received and stop complaining about the allocation they wanted.

Minority Leader Kelvon Morris says the Government should be complimented as there were no new significant taxes while the fuel regime has been maintained. He says the budget’s focus on education, the vulnerable, and the crime situation in the country was also notable.

The Minority Leader is applauding the Government for an increase of $64 million in Tobago’s budgetary allocation, adding this affords more money to take care of the island. He says the allocation of $2.585 billion provides a platform from which the THA can build upon.
