A new Chief Administrator has assumed duties within the Tobago House of Assembly.

After weeks of public statements by THA Assemblymen and the Prime Minister regarding the delay in the appointment of a Chief Administrator; the THA made their announcement. The post will be held by Mrs. Denese Toby-Quashie who will serve as the Acting Chief Administrator. She assumed office today, Monday.

A release from the Office of the Chief Secretary indicated on Friday, that the Office of the Prime Minister gave notice to the THA that Mrs. Toby-Quashie will act as the Chief Administrator.

She has served as Administrator in several THA Divisions including the Division of Health and Division of Education.

Since mid-May, the THA operated without a Chief Administrator, as Ms. Ethlyn John left office due to retirement.
