“Even if we are aware of the general history of Carnival, there are specific aspects that are worthy of exploration.”
The words of Speaker of the House Bridgid Annisette-George at today’s formal opening of a special Carnival exhibition themed “The Story, The Style, The Spectacle Of Sailor Mas” on Tuesday.
The exhibition, which is being held in the Rotunda Gallery at the Red House, aims to highlight variations of the Sailor costume. Fifty five artists got the opportunity let their creativity shine using a style and medium of their choice.
Members of the public can view the exhibition until March 1st.
