Thousands of barrels of the fuel-like substance have been collected by responders involved in the Tobago oil-spill clean-up operations.
Lieutenant Colonel Jason Hills, speaking at a Press Conference on Friday, provided an update.
While clean-up continues on land, collection of the fluid at sea will soon take place utilising a technology provided by the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries.
As clean-up activities continue, the team plans to transition into more manual collection.
