Three Day Cabinet Retreat In Tobago Begins Today

As of today, Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley will chair a three-day Cabinet retreat.

According to the Office of the Prime Minister, the meetings will be held at Blenheim House – the Prime Minister’s official residence in Tobago.

Discussions will be centered on planning and future spending since changes have to come.

Additionally, discussions will include a focus on subsidies and channelling some of the US$644 million funding which Trinidad and Tobago received from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to assist small and medium businesses’ recovery efforts.

Dr. Rowley last week said he will also hopefully examine some of the issues of the “old economy” and the necessary new economy.
