The TKR men mirrored their female counterparts by winning their opening encounter of the Hero CPL.
In the first match of the day at Warner Park in St. Kitts, Akeel Hosein ruffled the St. Lucia Kings batters, grabbing impressive figures of four wickets for thirteen runs. Roshan Primus and Mark Deyal did some repairs, getting 38 and 35 respectively as the Kings finished on 143 for 9.
The Knight Riders had an early scare, losing two wickets for 19 runs. However, Tion Webster anchored the recovery with a well-paced 58. Tim Siefert scored 24 in support. The only consolation for St. Lucia Kings came from Alzari Joseph’s four wickets for 17 runs. TKR, finishing on 148 for seven, winning by three wickets.
In their next match, they take on the the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots on Saturday at 7pm.
