Tobago will soon see the establishment of a Constituency Development Fund. This after Tobago House of Assembly representatives visited Jamaica and toured community-based initiatives.
In a release, the Division of Community Development explained Jamaica has a similar programme and has seen the benefits.
The Tobago CDF policy is expected to be fully drafted by the end of April and will include an initial seed fund of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars to be spread across communities for community-based projects.
The CDF document will be tabled for bi-partisan discussions within the THA and public stakeholder meetings will be held.
The release indicated communities and their Area Representatives will collaborate and prioritize based on needs of the constituency.
