One hundred and eighty six TSTT employees have been selected to be redeployed.
This, from Secretary General of the Communication Workers Union, Clyde Elder. During a Media Conference on Monday, he said the union met with executives of the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago on Monday to continue discussions on the company’s restructuring exercise.
Mr. Elder added that the CWU will have further discussions with the company, as Monday was the first day of consultations with TSTT within the period of notice and 45 day period. He said an additional 25 employees who received letters of retrenchment will be promoted to managerial positions.
