Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Stuart Young met with Venezuela’s Minister of Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, on Monday.
According to the Correo del Orinoco website, the Foreign Relations Minister tweeted “We exchanged views on joint development in energy matters to promote the use of these resources for mutual benefit.”
Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago have signed several agreements. These include large-scale projects such as the bilateral Contingency Plan for Hydrocarbon Spills, the Memorandum of Understanding for the Supply of Natural Gas, and the Energy Cooperation Framework Agreement, as well as the agreement to develop the Dragon Field.
The Minister also met with Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez and oil minister Tareck El Aissami.
