TT Beach Warriors Lose To Panama

This country’s Concacaf Beach Soccer Championships campaign got off to a negative start in Nassau, Bahamas.

Coming up against Panama in their opening Group C fixture, the Beach Warriors went down by 2-1 earlier today.

After a goal-less first quarter, the Warriors opened the scoring in the 2nd minute of the second when Kareem Perry’s low shot gave the Panamanian keeper no chance. However, Los Caneleros came storming back in the final third.

In the 3rd minute Alfonso Maquensi took advantage of a mix-up at the back and levelled the scores and with four minutes to go, Julio Watson found the winner for Panama.

The Chad Appoo-coached team will face defending champions the United States in their second encounter at 1:30pm on Tuesday.
