Trinidad and Tobago claimed Gold at the Elite Pan American Track Cycling Championships in Asuncion, Paraguay, overcoming Colombia in the Final, while Mexico earned Bronze by defeating hosts Paraguay.
T&T qualified second fastest (44.087s) behind Colombia (44.076s), with Canada third (44.719s). In Round 1, T&T outpaced Brazil significantly (43.394s to 44.736s).
After comfortably defeating Paraguay in the Semi Finals, the TT trio of Paul, Phillip, and D’Abreau dominated Colombia in the final race.
