This country’s total COVID-19 related deaths have passed the 2,000 mark. With 11 deaths recorded over the last 24 hours, the death toll now stands at 2,009.
Among the fatalities are eight men and three women. Seven people had multiple comorbidities including diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. Two had only one comorbidity, while two others had no known comorbidity.
There are also 689 new cases of COVID-19. Active cases now stand at 9,297.
The Ministry said 542 people remain at hospital and are being treated for the virus, while 64 people have been discharged.
